Reading all the post game comments and thinking about the team.
We must build an offensive identity based on an understanding of who are our primary and secondary scorers. To me it is obvious that Vescovi is our #1 option. You want him to shoot as much as possible. It would be ideal if our second guy was a post player but it isn’t happening. I was hoping Powell would turn out to be Jordan Bowden (third scoring option) but, not yet.
I think Ziegler is the guy. A little more of a playmaker than Chandler. So we have to play small ball, quick tempo, drive and kick. And he needs to be on the floor as much as possible. I think it’s moving in that direction. Barnes gave him the ball in the final seconds and he made a good play.
If Z plays more the question is who plays less? You have to keep Vescovi, Ziegler, and Chandler on the court as much as possible. Still gotta have rotations to relieve the main players. I think JJJ needs to play less. You really can’t play him at the three and ORN is a little more effective at the four..
