I know we've discussed improving our passing game as a key for us to have the kind of year we want. Maybe ad nausea for some, but it's July. What else do you want to talk about?

There are a lot of factors that go into better passing:

Dobbs has to make the throws. I think he'll be improved this year. Another year older, stronger, smarter, better technique, etc. He can be elite.

Last year our line, especially at the beginning of the year, was porous. (Everyone blames the D for losing the OU game, but remember Crowder's Matador move, almost getting Hurd killed, after the TKJr pick? If we get 3 there we win!). We'll be vastly improved this year. Perhaps not elite, but certainly above average and serviceable.

I have no doubt that CBJ and CMD will work on calling more pass plays. Everyone is going to load up to try to stop our superior run game. Against the big boys we'll have to throw. They're smart, they'll work on it against App, VPI, and Ohio.

Our WR's have to catch the ball. I think they will. We have a ton of talent there and some great speed coming in.

OK, after this long dissertation, can our WR's get better separation? Not an Azzani attack post. I have no idea if he's a good WR coach or not. I just know that everyone is going to load up to stop the run and play press coverage. It'll be critical that our WR's beat that press coverage and get separation.

Can they do it? Thoughts?
