1) More of a comment, but @Jesse_Simonton your point about Pruitt learning some lessons about recruiting management (OVs, inhomes) is a really good one and gives me some optimism in that there is real upside to the man's recruiting. That is, clearly he's really good at it and not only has existing relationships but also just connects with prospects...but he's obviously new as a HC and made some tactical errors with early OVs with guys like Copeland and Griffin in particular (though one could argue the Griffin thing was more calculated because they thought they could set the bar too high for anyone else to clear). Assuming he's able to learn from his mistakes (which we have to hope very much is true because he'll also make them on the field....and Butch was clearly not good at it) one has to think the sky is the limit
2) Do you think that Corbin's spot is 100% contingent on what Grant does? I wouldn't think so given they clearly played lip service to Grant about being a RB only and the fact that Corbin is obviously more dynamic as a playmaker while Grant is a guy who could fit at a number of positions. Not to mention they could end up with a spot for both if things go south with enough players
3) Speaking of Grant, both Jesse and @Austin_Price posited a few weeks ago that they might have brought Grant in on an OV simply to not be seen as "dropping" him and would be ok if he went to UNC or VT, as long as they didn't damage relationships at Buford HS. Do you feel that way more strongly now, especially since to my knowledge neither Pruitt nor any other coaches visited him after his OV?
4) Do you like bringing in Gooden for an UV this weekend? Seems like a truly no-risk situation if he's willing to not sign on Wednesday and take a blueshirt, with his scholarship counted toward 2019 (totally worth it) if he qualifies but no loss to either class if he doesn't.
5) Sticking with DL, I don't think you mentioned him on the pod, but do you think the Mincey ship has sailed? And are you hearing anything on Ogbonnia? I certainly like that his UT tweet came after his RT of the Nebraska "welcome to your OV" tweet
6) Also not mentioned on the pod, but the note in the War Room on Wonnum was at least slightly optimistic. Hearing anything on that before he makes a commitment tomorrow?
7) If you had to rank the CBs on the board in terms of likelihood to sign with UT, how would it look - updated with the news that Palmer is back in play?
I think mine would be:
ITS
Flowers
Palmer
Griffin
Campbell
8) Lastly, but sticking with CBs, with Josep Norwood not visiting Nbraska this weekend do you think he might come to Knoxville at least as an UV?
Thanks as always. Ya'll have done a kickass job this cycle as always
