BRAJP : helmet question

This is a dumb question but I've just been wondering so I'm asking. Last week when the offense was in Orange and gray helmets, Hurd was wearing the white one. Now with offense in white with no decals or markings, Hurd is wearing the decaled and striped helmet? What's up with that? IBonus question: Also noticed some defensive guys wearing white helmets today?
