Having watched the last 3 hiring of coaches at UT and seeing how many "names", though not even big names that have turned us down and what number we had to go to, I would be very careful what you ask for. I know many of you think this is the best job in whatever or a top job, but parts of our fan base make this job not so favorable to many as was seen during the last 3 hires. As bad as this season has been, for the last many years, including the last few of Fulmer, if we win most of what's left, we still have improved each of the last 3 years. How long has it been since you could say that. We are not hiring a Saban, we are not hiring a Meyer, we are no hiring a Harbaugh, but then again few will, even with an endless supply of money (see Texas, Notre Dame, etc.).

The SC game was awful, I am not a lover of Debord, but Dobbs also played the worst game of his life. He threw it like he used to - yes I remember how poorly he can throw the ball and when he can't throw, he doesn't run so well of late. He threw it well during the comebacks for the most part, though he has been a turnover machine this year and without recovring all the fumbles the first few, it could be worse), but the SC night he even had time most of the night and threw it like me. Last year he didn't throw much down the stretch, they committed to him running and it worked out. I thought they should have run more the other night. And yes I would have run Dormady out there for a series or 2. What could it hurt.

Injuries have defined most of this year, and I think I could have coached alabama and beat what we had on the field. They probably beat us full strength, but at least we might have slowed them down some. I am not a fahr Butch he's the problem, though he has made mistakes this year. He's still as good or better than I think we can hire.
