I like him as a football coach. Reminds me of my coaches coming up in HS. Old school, beat your ass SOB coaches that taught me how to be a man, stand up for those around me and never, ****ing ever quit.
I’m successful in life as a professional and husband/father because of those men. Kids gravitate to guys like that, cause they see that those coaches will maximize their potential, even if they tear them down initially.
Anyway, this quote says more to me about CJP than any quote I’ve seen. Love the peer pressure comment!!! Love sitting in a room with 150+ young men, getting each ones performance exposed (bad or good).
We are building character, something that has been lacking significantly on the hill since 2008.
“I think that Monday our (assistant coaches) went out on the road for the first time to start traveling (for recruiting purposes). I went back to the way we used to watch film at Plainview High School,” Pruitt explained on the show. “I put the whole team in there and we had one video and I ran the video and I coached the offense and the defense and special teams.
“Everybody got to see it and everybody understands where they are at and understand the expectations; it’s easy, you just have to say, ‘Hey, who wants to play with this guy?’ You know? And there’s nothing like peer pressure.”
