I played golf today at Holston Hills as a single. I made a hole-in-one on 8 (I know, humble brag)! A guy in the group behind me was driving to the 7th green and was getting out of his cart, and I was going to tell him what just happened and he was the closest person to a witness that I had. For whatever reason I decided not to say anything, and I noticed he had a resemblance to John Smoltz. I didn't think anything else about it. But on the back 9 the 16th tee is really close to the 15th green and I was close enough to their group to see it actually was Smoltz.
So, as a life-long Braves fan, I missed a cool opportunity back on the 8th hole! I knew that he's a really good golfer, and then I realized that most of the great shots I noticed from the group behind me probably came from him. Anyway, I know there's a lot of Braves fans and golfers on the board so I thought I would share.
