Curious if anyone in Knoxville has had this happen. In the last 3 days at 2 different Knoxville area gas stations, I've been approached by guys asking for money. In both cases, these guys were well-dressed, clean cut guys driving what seemed like relatively nice cars. In both cases, the story was something like my wife/girlfriend has my blazer in her car and my debit card is in there. Could you spare a few bucks to get me where I'm going. One guy even tried to get may address to mail me a check. I did end up giving him a few bucks but just told him to pay it forward. I'm trying to figure out if there is some scam going on, but if so, I just don't get it. These would have been the best dressed beggars I've ever seen, and in one case, the guy's watch was worth more than he could have made in a a couple of days running this scam. Maybe just coincidence, but thought I'd put it out on the board and see if this has happened to anyone else.
