I have some suspicion that we may see a dual QB system this week with JG and Maurer splitting some reps. Another poster started a thread that had me thinking. I've been around football my whole life and coached for some years. While my opinion means very little, if I were coming out of an open week, I would have some unique installs done. Chaney has a big advantage in that Pittman knows his system(s) well. With that extra week of prep, plenty of time to get some new installs done on simple packages.

I would have an RPO package installed specifically for Maurer and I would let him start the game. This is something that Arky will have discussed but likely spent little to no time on during a game week due to our lack of willingness to play him. I would come out early with that package and work it until they can stop it. As they begin to commit more guys into the box, we start taking some deep shots in man matchups, forcing them out of that deep zone that has created all of their turnovers. Use those young WR's and Palmer who have proven they can make a play on the ball. I would let Maurer roll with it but if you truly need it, rotate JG in as well.

I think its possible you may see some red zone packages for Wideman and/or Beckwith as well. We HAVE TO find a way to get 6 instead of 3. Lastly, I would look for Gray to heavily work the middle of the field. Him working the inside slot and out of the backfield getting matched on their LB's is a big advantage if we can do so. I think you may see Gray have a huge day if we win this football game. Arkansas loves to sit in deep zone and if we truly prep, we could really exploit the middle of the field. What I do know is that if we continue to run the base offense with 2, we will not score enough to win the football game.
