First off, no surprise obviously but Brett Kedrick working first team RT today. That had been the case a good bit before Chance Hall was sidelined, so no surprise that's how they're rolling up front.
Latrell Williams did more than we've seen him do to this point and I thought he looked good out there. Really quick in and out of his cuts, explosive looking athlete and he showed some nice hands today when we got to watch them work. He's not as thick and doesn't seem to be as powerful as Byrd right now, but similar looking athletes.
There's been some talk about the freshmen OL on here, and it seems pretty clear that the staff likes what they have in the trio of Tatum, Niehaus and Johnson. Both Mike Debord and Don Mahoney take time to really coach those kids up on the details during drills and give them some individual attention, generally a sign that the staff thinks they have a good player on their hands.
Shy Tuttle continues to look progressively better. Obviously not 100% yet but we haven't seen him have any apparent setbacks and he seems to be quicker and moving with more suddenness in his movements as the month wears on.
Good to see Andrew Butcher on the field today though he was not in shoulder pads and didn't do a whole lot, that has to be considered a positive considering everything he's battled through.
I just continue to be impressed by the talent in the defensive backfield. Gaulden, Warrior and Abernathy looked good today and it's obvious that Emmanuel Moseley isn't backing down in his competition with Justin Martin. Both of those guys seem like they're getting pushed to another level.
