C 19 for almost 3 months this is what I think I know.
It seems arbitrary, kind of like a tornado. It will destroy your neighbors house, but skip over yours. I had one of my nurses tell me when I volunteered to help with the screening and testing that at my age I would be dead in a month. Well, I've been up close and personal with Mr. COVID and I'm still standing. What I don't understand is why Vanderbilt won't test their own employees. We can be asymptomatic and still carry it. Very puzzling to me.
JMHO, but hand washing and maintaining a social distancing of 6 feet is extremely important. Maybe more so than wearing gloves and mask. I also try to keep sipping water every 15-30 minutes to keep crap out of my throat.
I've almost developed a false sense of security. I still take it very seriously, but I do not fear it, although maybe I should. Stay well.
