My name is John Currie and I’m the athletic director for the University of Tennessee. Recently it’s been brought to my attention that we are a very poorly coached football team. You, the fans who pay the bills have obviously felt the way you feel for some time. I have currently began to understand how you feel. While I back coach jones and wanted him to win enough to get us to a bowl game, I now believe that isn’t enough to make you guys happy and Continue buying our tickets and over priced merchandise. I also realize that the funding campaign we plan on kicking off next Saturday at homecoming will cause even more anger towards myself and my programs. I only got here this year but I am aware that no major sport here is very good nor have they won anything of consequence in many years but I do believe it’s been good enough because attendance has been exemplary and merchandise sales have been through the roof so i felt we could stick with the status quo. Now, i want ya to know, I’m gonna keep coach jones for a while and unless y’all decide to not show up anymore, this will be my stance. I hope you’re not too mad at me.
