If your Houston. He is the last person we need coaching here. What makes anyone think he can get it done here if he was unable to get it done at LSU where he had a state with unbelievable high school talent and no instate school to recruit against. He did less with more talent at LSU the last 5 years than I thought possible. He was a great coach at one time, but he refuses to evolve with the game. His style of play just won't win championships any more. That is one of the things that makes Saban so good. He evolves with the game and bringing Kiffin in a few years ago proves it. Had Miles been allowed to finish the year out at LSU, he would have been lucky to finish with a 8-4 record with more talent than CBJ had here. So Les Miles is the last person we need coaching here.
We are in the middle of making upper management changes at UT and that includes having a lame duck AD and not even close to having a new one. So who in the hell would even hire our next coach? But, ok I'll play along.
First off, I don't think we need to make a coaching change at the head coaching spot this season because I still think CBJ has done a great job rebuilding our program. I know that no one likes using injuries as a excuse for loosing, but given the number we have had this year, it's is a reason for some of our problems. I think CBJ has done enough good for our program to deserve the chance to make the nessary changes to his staff for next season.
With that said, if CBJ decides to leave on his own this year, we should make Dan Mullen a offer he couldn't refuse. He without question, he should be our #1 target. I think he is one of the top 5-6 coaches in the country. Go Vols!!
