I have been saying this the past 10 years. When Phillip lost Cutcliffe it was the end of an era. We have been mediocre or worse since Kiffin left. We have dug ourselves so much of a hole since 2010 that it was going to take a LONG TIME to get out. You don’t make the changes and hires we have made and expect this to only be 3-4 year turnaround. I don’t know if Pruitt is the answer as does anyone else. What I do know is he will need time and the kind of time some of the fan base doesn’t want to give. All this doesn’t excuse losing like we did yesterday. For the first time under Pruitt, in my opinion, those kids quit. We as fans can offer our opinions, the classic “I would do this and that”, and other things which what’s great about being a fan. However at the same time it’s also about being real with ourselves and really looking back 10 years or even earlier to see why we are where we are.
