My 2 brothers and I lost our father to a motorcycle accident in March and we came up to his home in Johnson City from Atlanta that we still owned and just felt like he was going to help us out. All that week I heard from Florida fans that we had no chance, they were used to beating us and we had a freshman QB. My dad had made a beach bar outside his place with a little koi pond. We brought over an old 80's tv from our grandpas garage and fixed the antennas just right to get cbs so we could enjoy the bonfire we had going.
The game had us screaming and going through the ups and downs Wilhoit had and extra point to kick an missed it. We gathered around and put our arms around each other's shoulders huddled around the tiny 12" tv and awaited for his 51 yard kick after ainge brought us down the field into field goal range. The ball was snapped and as soon as he kicked that ball we knew it was good. All three of us believed our dad gave a little burst of wind to that kick and knew all of Vol Nation had someone help out with that kick.
I hope we can get some help Saturday and once again show everyone what Tennessee football is all about.
