One of Lou's favorite stories is when he arrived at Purdue, he met with Brees who had thrown 10 or some ridiciulous number of interceptions the year before Holtz arrived. He told Brees - 'this year you are not going to throw 7 interceptions'. Brees said that was great but how did he know. Holtz: because after you throw six you are going to be benched.
