I just built an outdoor deck with a large fireplace attached to it, its about 40 feet away from a nearest peak of my home. I’ve noticed that when i burn a fire and then turn my HVAC on it seems that the smoke starts to pull into our attic through the soffit vents underneath my first floor. What then happens is my house start smelling like a camp fire and even once got hazy inside. Should the house be pulling in the air that hard when i turn the HVAC on and also it seems like there is a hole in ducts or something because even if it is pulling some smoke in it should be getting inside my house through my ducts. Any thoughts? I’m calling someone tomorrow to look at it but figured they wouldn’t know as much as the people on here……
