We certainly aren’t firing Pruitt this season, but if the remainder of this season is a huge failure and the beginning of next. Let’s hypothetically say he’s fired this time next year... who are the names on the hot board?
Matt Campbell at Iowa St is a hell of a coach but doesn’t fit the recruiting footprint or have a reputation of being a good recruiter.
Billy Napier is having early success at Louisiana. He’s a southeastern guy and a good recruiter, but has he done enough as a head man?
Hugh Freeze. Have the skeletons in that closet gotten old enough to not matter?
Obviously we could swing big for an Urban Meyer or James Franklin but we know how that would work out, IMO.
