narrowed down to Ingram and Gilbert, he believes the choice has been made from what he was told, now it’s just finalizing the deal. Announcement tomorrow or Monday at the latest.

If Haslam gets the AD he wants whether it’s Gilbert or Ingram, then Kiffin is in play as Haslam and Lane keep in touch regularly and have a good relationship. He said our budget is $5.5-8mil per over 5-6 years. Plowman, Boosters, etc understand they can’t mess up this hire and are willing to try anything to get a sitting P5 coach. Kiffin and Herman are most likely their top 2 candidates if Haslam is footing the bill.
Napier and Campbell dont want the job, Chadwell and Steele are last resorts if everyone else says no but it won’t be for a lack of effort on trying.
They want coach in place by first week of Feb. They understand the HC has to be able to salvage the portal and current roster which is why the emphasis is on Kiffin or Herman and that’s who Haslam wants.
