Seems like folks are really pumping up UF's D this year with good reason. Thought this was interesting though...
Through 3 games last year, UF was giving up an average of 55 yards per game rushing. This year, they are giving up an average of 42 yards per game.
We went for 254 on the ground last year iirc.
They have definitely improved in their pass D, giving up only 87 ypg through the air vs. around 200 last year. Last year's number was inflated by East Carolina who went for 346 through the air but had negative 13 yards rushing. We threw for 165.
I know their defense is good, but it was really good last year too and we played on the road with largely the same team we have now. I have no idea what our problem is this year, but I do know that we have better and/or more experienced talent this year than last year. If we can put it all together, we can have a pretty special Saturday. Flame on bro diffies
