You just can't block RS Sr and RS Jr DL with So, RS Fr and Fr OL. Especially when it's Bama you are trying to block. It's just not that complicate to figure out. First off we are absolutely beat up with injuries. We were missing 12 starters vs them missing 1. It drives me nuts when I get on here and people are ready to send CBJ packing. People want things now!! That just ain't possible with how bad our program had became before CBJ. He is doing a better job than we could have ask for. I know people are tired of hearing it and think he's had enough time, but it's still gonna take a little more time. Our progress each year is proof CBJ is doing a great job here. Even healthy, we are still too young. We are getting more talented by the year. We won't be able to compete like we want too until both our lines are made up mostly with RS Sr and RS Jr. And our back ups are not Soph and Fr. Actually the true CBJ players are Soph and Fr right now. The first class was recruited by Dooley. The second year was better but still not where we needed to get and that because relationships take time to build. Our class two years ago were the kids our staff had a couple years to build that relationship and we will be good from here on out. Once the class from two years ago are Sr, we should be able to compete like we use too. Saturday was nothing except we were blocking men with boys. When these boys grow into men, we will have arrived, so to speak. Our progress so far is unbelievable and we couldn't ask for a better coach than CBJ. People just need to back up and see everything for what it really is. No matter if you want to hear it or not or you think we've heard it long enough, our team still has to grow up. We are miles ahead of where we were, but still have a ways to go and we saw that Saturday. Nothing more or nothing less. The future is bright for the Vols!!
