I truly believe Heupel is the guy who turns us around and makes us relevant and competitive again with our rivals. I 100% believe in him. My only concern was, and remains, something not in his control....the NCAA cloud. I think some positive things have happened and are in the process of happening that help alleviate those concerns some. If he navigates through that well enough to recruit at a high level, I firmly believe he is going to prove to be one hell of a hire.
We're all disappointed in last night. But it's one game against a quality opponent where the officiating was very heavily in the favor of our opponent, for whatever reason. We still could have won and didn't get it done, so ultimately, losing is on Tennessee players and staff.
But Josh Heupel did a fantastic job after taking over a program in the dumps that had many of its most successful players transfer out (and around 30 overall) and was under investigation. He and his staff totally transformed an abysmal offense into a good offense and got the most out of the defensive talent.
It pisses me off seeing all these negative threads about Heupel. You dudes are entitled to your opinions, but just know, those of you down on this staff after year 1 are total damn morons whether you realize it or not.
