I am sadly here at the game and ran into a highly touted freshman’s father in the concessions line. I don’t want to reveal who his son is for obvious reasons but he plays defense and has had positions moved. He was VERY vocal that our coaches are for some reason stubborn to put our young guys in. While we were watching the TV Arkansas scored on a slant to the TE and he said “see there, we haven’t stopped that simple shit all year long.” I asked him what the current players think of JG and he said they want nothing more than for us to move on and that he sucks the life out of the team with his attitude and play. He said Pruitt for some reason has a loyalty to JG that the players do not understand. He did say our young guys believe in Pruitt, but that this program as it stands was not what they came to TN for.
Take it for what it’s worth, but it was telling that they feel the same way we do. This program is going in the wrong direction and losing to an Arkansas team with less talent in year 1 of Sam Pittman.
