Coming into the year, if you told me that we were 2-1 after three games with one bad half of football that led to us losing to the 2nd ranked team in the country at their place after owning a lead at half, I would have been elated. Of course, the details and oftentimes unrealistic expectations always get in the way. But in reality, we were a 14-point underdog at Georgia and that reality played out in the 2nd half. We just aren't as good as them, YET. We are so much more competitive in every game right now than a few years ago. Hell, a year ago we lost to freaking BYU and Georgia State. Frankly, I think all of us, including myself, need a swift slap in the face to remember where we are at as a program. Having high expectations is the norm at Tennessee, and we can never lower the bar, but we also need some perspective and remember the recent past.
