1. I would like to think we could use Kamara/Hurd in backfield more to keep them off balance. Also, I don't think lateral runs or the wide zone plays will fair well against Gator speed and penetration. I don't think spreading them out is good for our line. They need some help blocking with backs and TEs. One on ones will not be in our favor. 3 yards and a cloud of dust is OK as long as we aren't going backwards. Dobbs needs to run early.

2. Would love to see some "heavier" packages that could get Kamara and Croom in mismatches with LBs, and cause Gators to commit a safety to box allowing shots on the outside to Malone and Williams.

3. I also think Hurd going downhill in under center formations would be effective. He is special when he gets up to speed with his size, but acceleration and quickness on the zone read is not his strength. I like him on old fashioned toss sweeps, too. If he turns corner, look out.

4. Overall, I think a ball control TE heavy, 2 back pack plan where we limit mistakes, give line some help with blocks, control field position and keep Gators from getting the big turnover/short field gives us best chance to win. I think D, special teams, and crowd noise can put lots of pressure on Gators.

I just don't think we win enough blocking match ups when spreading out with multiple wideouts. Teams stop the run without over committing to the box, and we aren't able to consistently move chains with intermediate passing attack in those situations.

I'll take one big play to Malone, 2 FGs, and a late pick 6-

Vols-20 Gators -10.
