We went through this with Jack Sears last year, lots of ppl thought we would get him, he ended up committing to Duke, and then ended up on the west coast. These guys love it when they get here but then they get back on that long flight home and distance becomes a factor - not to mention the cultural fit. Then you will have all of the west coast guys back in his ear when he gets back. This will happen even if he does commit to UT. Would be hard to keep him and we'd likely be sweating it. Even Bama could not keep their west coast commits, one de-committed and the other left the team mid-season.
Don't get me wrong, I hope we get him, but we need to keep recruiting other guys no matter what he does in the next couple of weeks.
