Most disappointing thing about the offense is not JG or QB IMO

It is the lack of a plan or any hint of creativity in the run game.

Reality coming into this year was we had hope that year 2 in the system would help JG. But this was a hope. We had 3 years of film saying that he just wasn't a big time player or a guy who was going to beat good teams or be consistent. He will have a game or 2 where he gets hot each year (2018 Auburn, 2019 Missouri). It isn't his fault because by all accounts he works his butt of and is tough as nails. But it just isn't happening.

We knew we had a big, physical and talented OL with multiple road graders. This was known. And it was the backbone of our team.

There needed to be a plan to completely maximize that. Chaney watched Kentucky lead the SEC in rushing with a WR at QB when every single team knew they were running. They still did it effectively.

-Where are the 2 back sets to get 2 of your dynamic players on the field together in Gray and Chandler?

-Where is the short yardage package for 3rd/4th and 1 with Crouch? Why are we relying on Gray and Chandler to do something they aren't built to do? Crouch wasn't playing 50 snaps a game. He was playing about 20-30 before Banks got hurt. They knew Tim Jordan was gone. He wasn't great but he could be physical. UK had 2 big backs who got yards on us because they could fall forward not because they were dynamic. Pruitt wants to be physical and aggressive but the plan isn't in place to effectively do that. Crouch can easily get 3-5 short yardage carries a game.

-Where is the wildcat package with Jimmy Holiday who is respectable throwing the football? A package of about 10 plays or so just to keep defense off balance and take pressure of JG. Last years wildcat package was embarrassing. Literally a direct snap to Jauan every time. No motion. No option. No zone read. How about a jet sweep motion with Velus Jones with Eric Gray in the back field with Jimmy Holiday? That is pretty tough to deal with. If they completely cheat Holiday was throwing passes this time last year. He isn't a liability.

- The closest thing to creative is an obvious jet sweep to Velus Jones when you bring him in to do only that.

Just really disappointing that we have an OL that can run block and we didn't have a plan to maximize it. I don't care how good UGA's DL was. We tried to line up under center and go straight at them with 2 3rd down backs. Dumb.

Anyway. JG wasn't the guy and we all knew it. If someone paid be $1.5 million I am running the football behind that OL and I am going to have fun making up ways to make that hard on the defense.
