About 30 years ago I was doing the tax return for the minor league announcer in Chattanooga. He would let me come up into the announcer booth from time to time and do a little color. I had played baseball my whole life and I am an avid fan of baseball history. Anyway, one night I climbed my way up into the booth and saw he was talking to someone. He called me over. At that point he introduced me to the gentleman he was speaking with. I was stunned.
I was just introduce to Bob Feller. I spent the first 4 innings of the game sitting in the booth talking baseball with Bullet Bob. It was fascinating listening to him compare baseball now and then. Definitely a night I will never forget.
