I drive an 07 Honda Civic with roughly 215,000 miles on it. It was my wife's car through school and I don't want two car payments so I drive it now.
I put a used A/C Compressor in it a few years ago. A/C was not blowing cold this weekend so took it to the shop, they are saying it is out again and it will be $1,000+ for parts and labor to get a new compressor.
Any advice? It has to be fixed... I would like to keep the vehicle because it is a pretty reliable ride, and it has been paid off for years (which is the best part, of course). I don't want to be in a place where it is going to start costing me more to own this car than buying something else though.
I'm ignorant when it comes to vehicle maintenance so advice is very welcome.
