He had no time to assemble a class, had almost no nucleus to build around and yet he added quality players that did well all year.

Guys like Punter and Baulkman were thrown out there and held up pretty well, just inconsistent as expected with guys new to D1 ball.

Guys like Owens, Carmichael and Mostella showed big upside and will come along gradually. Of course, he had to take guys that were a little behind some of their peers and were projects, and really weren't ready to play, but just had to with the awful roster Cuonzo left.

Would have liked to see what Mcghee could have done if not hurt. Really needed another body, but he was the one more physically mature and able to bang in the paint.

Add to that, Hubbs, Richardson, Reese and Moore all played by far their best basketball of their careers this year.

I like the guys coming in next year, and am anxious to get a point guard in here.
