Personally, I don't have an issue with Scott and I would be happy for him. He must be impressive to get such consideration in such a short time.
But the way Butch is he doesn't seem like a realistic candidate. For all intents and purposes, Butch has only known Scott for about a year now. It was uncharacteristic of Butch to even hire him. Has Scott impressed Butch so much that he would hand him the keys to the offense so quickly?
How would Gillespie and Azzani feel about having long term relations with Butch, and also be considered as future HC's to get passed up by someone who has only been in the picture for a year or so? They work with Scott now, but would they want to work FOR him?
