Some Changes Needed

1. Have to recruit better at LB. We don't win that game without Kirkland and JRM. We are not there until we can lose starters at these spots and have a chance against a top 5 team. It seems like we will be there at CB next year, but we need a LB class like the DB class we got in 2016.

2. Our New AD needs to give the SEC notice. They either stop making us play on an uneven playing field (front loaded schedule plus having to play Bama every season) or we need to explore other conference options. We play with one hand tied behind our back in the SEC East when we have Bama every season. Division Championship needs to be determined comparing apples to apples -- divisional record. And we need to have a fair distribution of our tough games.

3. Football is a big, big business. Cost me about $1700 to attend the game this weekend with just my son and me. Butch needs to quit treating it like a small family business. DeBord needs to go and some of the other coaches do as well. I understand injuries are a problem, but running the ball on 13 of 16 first downs well into the game against a Bama defense that gives up 2.2 yards per rush attempt is Coaching malpractice. Butch went out and hired who he thought was the best DC regardless of prior relationship. He needs to do that at every other coaching position, starting with Offensive Coordinator. Otherwise, we aren't going to be seeing Championships in Knoxville during his tenure.

4. Butch and the new AD need to lay it down to the SEC. Either they get refs who stop putting the thumb on the scale for Alabama, or they are going to make a national story out of the favoritism shown. It's well overdue. Frankly, they should go to other schools and collectively tell the SEC that they either move the office out of Birmingham, fire the Bama grad head of officials and tell all refs that they will be fired if they are caught treating Bama with the favoritism we saw yesterday or the other SEC schools will form a new conference without Alabama. Putting an end to this BS is long overdue.
