Tennessee sent out several new offers today starting with D'Andre Christmas-Giles earlier today. Here's my initial take on Christmas-Giles. I talked to him tonight and he's very excited about the Tennessee offer, as you'd think, saying they are on top right now. Georgia Tech and Kansas State are close to offering as well. I do think he could be someone that pulls in more Big 5 offers soon. He's working on setting up a visit now.
Also, Tennessee offered Tyrell Alexander today out of Lancaster High School in Texas. He's a former Oklahoma State commitment and he's expressed interest to me in wanting to visit Tennessee now that they've offered. He seemed excited about it.
Tennessee also offered Katy, Texas, safety Collin Wilder today as well. Wilder was once committed to Texas Tech before decommitting and committing to Houston. In talking to him tonight he said he was very appreciative of the offer, but wasn't sure how hard of a look he would give Tennessee. I think he doesn't love the recruiting process and even mentioned he had already decommitted once and wasn't sure he'd want to go through with it again.
He said he's very firmly committed to Houston but wouldn't rule out a visit to Tennessee. But, the Vols will have to build a relationship there for sure.
We'll have stories with these guys throughout the rest of the week. I talked to D'Andre and Wilder tonight and Alexander and I traded messages and we expect to talk more tomorrow for a full interview.
