First off, I hope all the chatter is just that, and CBJ is our coach next season. At first I thought there was no way he would take a less job just to get out of here, but if the UWV job comes open, that might not be to far of a drop for him. Especially if he really wants out of here. If he takes or is even interested in the Purdue job, he wants out really really bad.
Explain who exactly would hire his replacement? The timing couldn't be worse for a coaching change. Next question, who would even take the job? I think any good coach would hesitate taking it after seeing the fan base run a BBall coach and football coach out of town in the matter of two years. There is no arguing the fact that the fans ran CCM out with the petition and if CBJ decides he needs to leave, it will no doubt because of the fans turning on him. I'm not saying they are right or wrong for letting fans run them off, but it is what it is.
I don't thank Dave Hart would be the one doing the hire being that he was ask to retire. We have no AD hired to take his place and our new hire to the university staff ain't even fully hired yet. The last thing we need right now is a coaching search. If everyone can remember, we just didn't have quality coaches knocking our door down the last few time we were looking for a new football coach.
