It got me to thinking about basketball jerseys. Specifically, why do most college teams wear the "color" jersey at home in football, but white in basketball. Several years ago I heard it posited that it was because back in the day when most road trips were by bus or lasted more than one game, the color jerseys showed less wear, tear, and dirt than the white ones did. Anybody know if this is accurate, or have a different take? Thanks
