One of my clients is a major player in the toy industry. He tells me a big price reduction in the current BB-8 is coming soon, as Sphero will be moving units in order to put a new version with new and better capabilities on the shelves before the Christmas shopping season. Target market and price should be the same as the old version. I told my kid this news last night. He wrote a letter to Santa before bed, asking Santa to wait to buy his BB-8 because the ones on sale now are going to suck by Christmas.
Anyway, thought I'd share so no one makes the mistake of buying one of these before the news breaks. They are a little pricey. One of my colleagues bought 4 of them last week for his nieces and nephews summer birthdays. Feels dumb now.
