This is the week of the Georgia game and there were some pretty interesting thoughts from the sharps about this game. Below I have copied the free read-up from sportschatplace, mainly because it illustrates the basic research the sharps are doing.

The Tennessee Volunteers and the Georgia Bulldogs face off on Saturday at Neyland Stadium in a SEC college football matchup.

The Tennessee Volunteers are 2-3 so far this season going 0-2 in the SEC and losing three of their last four games. The Tennessee offense is averaging 37 points and 417.8 yards per game and they have turned the ball over three times. Vols QB Joshua Dobbs has completed 57.5 percent of his passes with five touchdowns and an interception and he has rushed for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Jalen Hurd leads the Tennessee rushing attack with 492 yards and seven touchdowns and Eli Wolf and Josh Malone are the leading receivers with 12 catches each. The Tennessee defense is allowing 24.6 points and 414 yards per game with four interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and eight sacks. Jalen Reeves Maybin leads UT with 51 tackles and Brian Randolph and Derek Barnett each have 25 tackles. The expectations were high for Tennessee this season and this is already a must win game.

The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off of a tough home loss tot Alabama where they were absolutely handled as their record fell to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the SEC. The Georgia offense is averaging 38.4 points and 452.8 yards per game and they have turned the ball over seven times. Bulldog QB Greyson Lambert has completed 67.4 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and an interception and Brice Ramsey has seen action as well but he hasn’t been very effective. The Georgia rushing attack is anchored by Nick Chubb who has rushed for 745 yards and seven touchdowns and Malcolm Mitchell is the top receiver with 23 catches. The UGA defense is allowing 18.4 points and 294.4 yards per game with five interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and eight sacks. Tim Kimbrough leads Georgia with 33 tackles and Jordan Jenkins and Jake Ganus each have 29 tackles. Georgia will need to put last week behind them as the SEC East is still very much within reach.

Tennessee is 5-2 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, 4-11 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four SEC games. Georgia is 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games, 1-7 against the spread following a double digit home loss, and 4-0 against the spread following a loss. Georgia is 2-7 against the spread in their last nine games against Tennessee.

Sharp #1

This game is Tennessee's Super Bowl. There is no other way to put it. If they win, they are back on track and showing that they are making improvements. If they do not win, then the vols could begin to spiral out of control until a whooping boy comes along. Georgia is bringing in an elite rushing attack and that will not be easy for the vols to stop. Georgia's only Achilles heel is when they get one dimensional against that can stop their rushing attack. I am not so sure the vols can actually do that. Their defensive line looked very good, but Arkansas ran dead at 21 the entire to neutralize his sideline to sideline speed. If 34 or 53 filled cutback gap properly, Tennessee would have given up 100 less yards rushing. The good news, Collins is more shifty in the backfield than what UGA's philosophy will allow its running backs to do. The bad news, UGA's backs hit the hole much harder. If they can make UGA put the ball in the air, Tennessee has a very good chance. They especially need Sutton on Mitchell. Looking at Tennessee's offense, there are only issues in pocket passing protection, consistency in play calling, and lack of receiver experience. They just are not playing to their strengths if they cannot bully a team. I hope their play calling gets in a groove, that backfield is lethal and they forgot about them after halftime against Arkansas. Just a confused offensive play calling group. All in all, this sharp still does not think Tennessee has found its identity, and he cannot trust that.

Sharp #2

This game is close most years, and this sharp thinks it will be close again this year. It really does not matter who should win by how much, this game will come down to the wire. The players on each team have only lost 1 game, but the coaches for Tennessee has lost 2 additional games. Whatever is happening between their offensive coordinator and the "passing game coordinator" needs to be fixed. One thing people might have to realize though is no matter how you slice it, 3 out of their 5 best receivers are not healthy. That hurts. Barnett is getting the same attention Jadeveon Clowney got his junior year without Maggitt. That hurts. Their starting safety that has been there forever (Randolph), is having his worst season ever. That hurts. Not a lot has gone right for a team that that this sharp expected to have this record at this point in the season when fully healthy. He thinks they put it back on track on against UGA, because for the first time this year, no one expects them even be in the game. If the vols are going to have a successful season, that are going to have to pull out a big win at home. This is their last chance this year.

Sharp #3

This game is set up to be a classic battle of 4-5 impressive running backs versus quarterbacks that seem to be struggling. Which means this game will be all about the quarterbacks. Whoever UGA puts out there vs. Dobbs. UGAs quarterbacks are great with time and no pressure, but Tennessee will bring the pressure even if they do not get there. I think you will see many of the same mistakes from the previous week made this week. The real question is can Tennessee force UGA to drop back 20 or more times. If they can I like their chances. Georgia will be dialing up the pressure too, but when will Tennessee realize that Dobbs can run. They need to get some deep boots and put linebackers in a position to choose to defend him or the pass. This sharp thinks Dobbs will have major success against UGA, but does not think the vols can neutralize the rushing attack enough to win this game.

Sharp #4

This sharp this the vols will come out slow for the first time this year, and then a special teams play ignites the team. Tennessee has not forced many turnovers and thinks this is the type of game where they could see a big advantage on the turnover differential. He said you are what your stats say they are, but just cannot believe the tennessee secondary is not playing better. He hopes they come around because UGA does not have the firepower to play from behind unless Tennessee gets too conservative (again). Chubb is a real life monster, and the best thing to do is keep he boxed up because once he gets going, he does not need much blocking to stay hot. Michel is the X-factor in this game. So difficult to bring down in space, if UGA gets him 12-14 meaningful touches, this game could be a runaway. Have to force UGA to use their quarterbacks. He believes vols will find a way to do this, but it still will not be enough do to offensive playcalling on vols side. Believes you could see Tennessee's defense play its best game and the vols have great average starting field position, but squander it on lack luster offensive schemes.

Sharp #1 is sharp #2 from Florida game he predicted Fl and OU would cover and win.
Sharp #2 is sharp #6 from OU game he predicted OU would cover and win
Sharp #4 is sharp #1 from BGSU he predicted BGSU would cover

Hope Everyone Enjoys. This week the vols are a true underdog this week. On paper people really want to back them, but whats on paper and the product on the field do not match. A lot of sharps are concerned with scheme of the offense. It looks like they do not know who their best player is overall or at any one particular time in the game.

Lets hope for a win. Go Vols
