The final score ended up as 49-10, but in reality it should have probably been 56-10 if not for some mercy shown by Saban, so FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS THOUGHT EXERCISE there are ~46 points to account for.
Of the (virtually) 46 point discrepancy, here are my approximations (yes, they add up to 47, due to selecting "round" football numbers):
-about 10 points was due to the 4 big injuries at LB
-about 17 points was due to the 4 injuries along the OL
-about 10 points were due to simply having less talent than Alabama
-about 10 points were due to lack of aggressiveness by the our play-calling
