I posted this in another thread but I don't think most saw it. So, I'm reposting my thoughts, for those who care, on where we are after 5 games:
1) We're 5-0 and barring a total collapse we're going to Atlanta and should finish at worst 10-2. These were my preseason goals and I'll be very Happy when we hit those.
2) No, we're not perfect, far from it, but this team and coach has HEART! They simply refuse to lose.
3) I don't care what happens the next 2 weeks. This team and staff has earned our admiration.
4) I still don't know if Butch is the man, but I do know that he LOVES TN, has us relevant again, finally showed some real emotion, and has, for the time being
won my heart and loyalty. Great job Butch!!!
5) No one can lose 3 of your best defensive players and still keep winning, except US!
6) Dobbs, Barnett, Vereen, Malone, Jennings, Jumper, Gaulden, and the entire F-ing team are just ballers. I love them all.
7) No, we're not going 15-0 and winning the NC, but we're back, we're relevant, and by Neyland, we're somehow managing to WIN.
8) All of the above beats the $hit out of where teams like Texas and Notre Dame are, or where we were just a short time ago. I'm especially proud today, as always, to be a VFL!
