McShay was on Russilo and Kanell this afternoon. I will try and paraphrase what he said about Dobbs:
First R&K were pretty negative about the rise of Dobbs potential in the draft. Their take was just because he is really smart and a good leader won't make him a good NFL QB. Kanell talked about his lack of accuracy. McShay said he went back to study Dobbs tape expecting to esentially dismiss him as a late rounder but ended up really liking what he saw. He said he was tall in the pocket, anticipated throws and extended plays. He also saw many drops by recievers and also WRs running to the wrong spots. He said accuracy might be a question but sees him as a day two pick. He also said he might be the 3rd best QB in this draft and will have the chance to focus exclusively on football for the first time. R&K didn't really push back on McShay and were clearly surprised.
