Worth noting that Murphy is high school teammates with 2018 running back Fabian Franklin, who was with him today on his visit. Franklin is an elite RB, already holding offers from Bama, Michigan and Tennessee among others. He also has a lot of ties to Hattiesburg native Robert Gillispie.
Had a chance to catch up with Franklin after camp today and he was heading back home calling Tennessee his leader. Still pretty early in the process for him but he clearly left feeling very good about Tennessee and having his buddy commit probably didn't hurt the impression the Vols made on him either.
