Offensive Tackle: Losing Mays and Davis, Crawford aren’t ready yet. No immediate help in this recruiting class. Nichols and Clipper are listed at 300lbs but don’t jump off the page as year one contributors on the OL.
Edge Rusher: Young and Baron are legit. Harrison is scrappy. But we need more, a lot more. Sneed looks like a solid get but he’s the only one in the recruiting class that’s fits the mold thus far.
Defensive Back: Lose Flowers, Jackson, and Taylor. We have a lot of bodies back there but if you can find a sure fire starter somewhere it makes fitting the other positions that much easier.
Running Back: We only have 2 SEC level RB’s right now. Sampson looks like a good one as a true freshman. But we need another guy. Not sure how attractive we’ll be in this market though, unless we have some departures. I’m not very high in Wright or Whitehead.
You’ll never turn down a solid lineman on either side of the ball. After these spots though, it would just be best available type approach for me. For example, is a great fit at TE came up, we could upgrade but I wouldn’t call it a huge need.
