About him IMO is one simple fact.

I think people are caught up in the need for and desire to have a dual threat guy back there they simply believe there’s no way he can be good. The truth is, dual threat doesn’t mean what people think. Joshua Dobbs, Tim Tebow, Johnny manziel, Lamar jackson, deshaun Watson, were dual threat guys but they were generational talents at both running and also throwing the football. Rare. VERY rare.
Dual threat means can throw and if needed, can scoot and get a first down. HB IS capable of that. Just like Mauer. Trevor Lawrence does it. You don’t have to be fast or great, you have to be smart. Pick your spots etc. Jarrett the last couple games has picked up first downs running and actually looked fast doing it. Who would have ever thought that about him before those two games? Hence the dual threat moniker. Now Bailey isn’t the generational talent those guys above are, but he’s plenty capable of being a good quarterback, even tho rivals didn’t give him the dual threat designation. To me, this is why people arent as super hyped about him.

the part that really gets under my skin and we do it with Jarrett is the read look we run. EVERYBODY KNOWS HE AINT KEEPING IT. So, stop doing it. Line up in I formations, power formations, split back looks etc. why do we insist on looking like we are running a read option? This would help our offense a lot by speeding things up.
