Kudos to Blackburn for identifying his second in a row big time basketball hire. I hate that he has to go through another search but that is what successful AD's do with budget limitations at that level. If you are making great hires the big schools should be coming after your coaches after a couple years if you are doing it right.
This thread is not meant as any kind of statement of how things worked out with the UT AD hire as everyone hopes that John Currie will have success. It is simply to state that one of our UT alums in Blackburn is doing a great job at UTC and will get his shot at a bigger school in the not so distant future. It is much harder to have the success he has had with a school with limited resources than a Power 5 job with tons of resources and finances.
