Can someone explain why the coaches have been so horrendous at catching and adjusting to tells we are doing during games. A few examples:

  • JG choreographing the snap count versus Georgia
  • Always running to the same side when in standard RPO allowed Arkansas to stack the line in the second half and shut down the run game
  • Not being able to cover a soul over the middle of the field
It seems like these things would get caught in practice or during a game. I know for most of us it gets to the point where we know exactly where the play is going once the formation is set. A part of it has to be a lack of creativity, but I'm wondering if the coaches are also just oblivious to some of this during the game.
