BRAJ... Questions about the 85 number and this season

I keep hearing mention that if all returning players who are supposed to be back do all indeed arrive for (insert date here) as well as all of the incoming freshman that have yet to arrive on campus, then we will be above the 85 total number on that day correct? If this is true then

1. What number are that at on day one?
2. How long do they have to get to 85?
