1. @Brent_Hubbs you posted earlier today that UT (Plowman/Boyd) were in Orlando yesterday. To your knowledge, did UT have White “in the bag” prior to Monday when it was announced Fulmer would not be retained? Or was this more of a super quick process this week? Basically curious if they had a plan in place prior to the Fulmer retiring announcement and if yesterday was just finalizing things?
2. These upcoming sanctions/penalties. It seems UT may now see they have more interest for the HC job bc of their ability to pony up and close on a quality AD. Sounds like it helps at least. You also have stated UT would want to make a HC hire sooner rather than later (obviously that’s what they’d like I guess). At this time does UT have any idea/understanding at all how hard they’ll be hit? Or is that a more down the road thing when everyone will hear from the NCAA? Basically do you anticipate UT/White being able to at least ballpark what the next coach is gonna have to deal with during the hiring process? And how much do you think any uncertainty towards what the penalties may be being a deterrent in regards to coaches wanting to take the job?
