Scrimmage great indicator of where we are right now.
Thing that keeps you up at night is no pre-season game so scrimmage is like pre-season game. We have some players playing winning football right now, but we need more. Positions are up for grabs.
Team is work in progress. This morning's practice was one of the best of camp. Players locked in and focused. Tonight must finish the day out strong.
Team must have urgency. Classes start on Wednesday.
Jones said they have to get some positions settled to have continuity. Jones said this team is kind of where he thought they would be at this point.
In scrimmage, no turnovers, gave up a safety. Defensively need more takeaways. That's a focus. Defense didn't force enough turnovers. Typical scrimmage some good some back. Great teaching points with situational football. Gave up some big plays on defense had some young guys not set the front the right way and gave up big plays.
Offensively, same thing 4 guys protecting great, fifth didn't. Great to go back and watch and so the team it's about the small details.
