Credit score question/problem

Looking for a little advice/help here. I owned a home in Alaska from 2009 to 2012 and was then PCSd to North Carolina in 2012. From 2012 until October of 2016 I rented the home out, and then sold it. There was a gap of 13 days that the electric bill fell back under my name and accrued a total balance of $26. Nobody ever told me that that happened, and today when I checked my credit report my credit score had fallen by 25 points. I contacted the creditor and paid the balance and then called and gave the electric company and my previous property manager a good ear full, but they all say there's nothing they can do to pull it off of my credit report. I am wondering if there is anything I can do it all to have this corrected, or, since I paid it off so quickly after it showed up on my credit report, that it will possibly go away? Any help would be appreciated
