You see, I have a different perspective on CBJ interviewing Mike Debord first and it has nothing to do with him being a front runner for the job. It is obvious that CBJ is incredibly loyal to his coaches and the people who have got him here.

Mike Debordgave CBJ his first real shot back in the day. Could it be that CBJ is interviewing Debord out of respect and loyalty with no real intentions to hire him? Could it also be that, in the mind of CBJ, his interviewing him first speaks volumes about the faith he has in this man and it might open doors for him for later jobs elsewhere?

If I had a dear, old, trusted friend who had fallen on hard times, I would have no problem interviewing him for a highly-visible position to show my faith in him and hoping it kick-starts his career again.

Just my opinion. None of us know.
